Doomsday Preppers

There's a new show on cable called, "Doomsday Preppers." These sincere folks are preparing for calamity, the Anti-Christ, nuclear annilation, anarchry and everything that can go wrong.

We sse them hoarding seeds and food, camping gear, guns and ammo. They have a clear vision of the future and it is not good.

So what is the church to think? Shall we join the the post tribulation people who believe they will be the ones to take dominion over the land and usher in the return of Christ, having gone through bloodshed, tyranny and the mark of the beast?
Shall we join the doomsday preppers and looking for a hiding place in the hills of Idaho, Kentucky or North Dakota and shoot bison for food?

Well, here's some good news! "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21 KJV If you have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, His kingdom resides within you. This means that our commander in chief is looking after our welfare and regardless of rain or shine, cold or heat, we can trust His judgment and His plans in our lives and we can except a successful conclusion to our Life's story.

Luke 25-28, "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth; for the power of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloub with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift upn your heards; for your redemption draweth night." KJV

1. Signs in the Sun
2. Signs in the moon
3. Signs in the stars
4. Distress of Nations
5. Roar of the sea and waves
6. Men's hearts failing them for fear
7. Power of Heaven shall be shaken

In Luke 17:21, Jesus says that the Kingdom of God is within you. And if that is so, then whenever the Bible mentions God's kingdom, the Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom (referring to Jesus' definition) we are a part of that group.

In I Cor. 15:24, Paul proclaims, "Then cometh the end, whe he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power."

Yes, we can work as diligently as the Doomsday Preppers in making sure men and women that we love and respect become a part of the Kingdom of God and are ready to be evacuated in a twinkling of an eye the mystery hidden from mankind since the beginning of all ages will be revealed.

I Cor. 15:47-52, "The FIRST MAN is of the earth, earthy; the SECOND MAN is the Lord from Heaven. As is the earthly, such are they also that are earthy; and as i the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the KINGDOM OF GOD; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold I show you a myster; We shall not all sleep but we shall all be change, in a moment in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed!"

What if our time schedule is wrong? What shall we do if we are left behind?
