Where is the God of Elijah?

As extreme times approach, so does the need for extreme prayer and extreme miracles.

Where is the God of Elijah? Today we are surrounded with so many "flakes." The church needs to be careful and cognizant of the fact that in the ends times, many false prophets will arise and deceive many.

There are very few men or women alive today that has been given the office of prophet in the land. There are many who go around proclaiming they are prophets because they have a "word of wisdom," or a "word of knowledge," but they are not speaking for the nation. And many times they speak after the fact.

The true prophet of God will warn the nation. The prophet is the spokesperson for God, not for self or for self-engrandisement. You don't see God's prophets living on Park Ave or Rodeo Drive. They don't plead for offerings or demand luxury and first class accommodations because of who they are.

They live humble lives. They don't drink. They don't smoke. They don't lie, cheat or steal. They don't carouse in nightclubs or live on the internet. They are humble prayerful servants who would sit back and watch others proclaim themselves to be prophets while they question themselves asking God if the word he is to deliver is really God or me?

Some say in the Old Testament prophets could not be wrong. But in the New Testament, there is grace so they can be wrong sometimes. Jesus Chris is the same, yesterday today and forever.

Is Jesus of the 1st century different than Jesus of the 21st century. Notice that today in Jerusalem there are no prophets. Anyone calling himself a prophet would have to face the same scrutiny as the Old Testament prophets. No one is yet bold enough or confident enough to declare that God has ordained and called them to be a prophet in the land.

Okay what about prophet to the nations. Well yes there are those who are gifted and anointed to go into the nations to preach the Gospel and during those times of ministry as they speak under the anointing power of the Holy Ghost, they are God's oracle or voice. But when they come home, they are again a "prophet without honor in their own country."

God understands human nature so well.

When we see a man or woman, a true prophet sent by God to this nation, believers will immediately recognize him/her and know that he/she is sent by God and is a prophet ordained by God. There will be no question marks.

There are two witnesses that are coming to the land in the book of Revelation who will be able to call fire down from heaven. Wait for them, they are coming. Hopefully we won't be here to see them on CNN but we will be raptured with the saints!

Time to Rid Washington and Wall Street of the Crooks

Millions of Americans who are hard working, law abiding, tax paying and suffering under the schemes and the threats of foreclosure, credit lawsuits, high interest rates, lates charges and over credit limit fees are asking this question: Who's going to bail us out?

When big business squanders their opportunities to help the American people in favor of big profits and huge bonuses why shouldn't they suffer like they are making the American people suffer.

A family of 4 can hardly live on $50,000 a year, when most families of 4 in American are surviving on less than $30,000 of spendable income needing to depend on the credit card offers of Washington Mutual, Captial One, HSBC, Chase, Citibank and many others just to make ends meet.

Then being late for 1 day - a whopping $39 late fee is add and then another $39 over credit limit fee.

Who is bailing American families out? The House of Representatives has a pending bill in Congress called the Consumer's Bill of Rights. It is a bill that protects the consumers from being gauged by the credit card companies with their every changing policies. And guess what is happening to that bill, the Banks and the Credit Card companies are against it.
They want to be able to charge a customer late fees for being 1 day late; changing their interest rates without notice from 14.9% to 21.% to 28% to 31%.

They want to continue to squeeze blood out of the poorest Americans who need credit to help them make it through from pay check to pay check - and who is going to bail them out!

Who owns all the stock in these companies anyways? It's definitely not the middle class American family.

Make the people who earn over $250,000 pay the $700 billion bail out. Since it is probably they who benefited the most and are the investors anyways.

It's time to call a YEAR OF JUBILEE. Let Washington call on Wall Street to FORGIVE the debt of the American People and let's ALL start over again. That is the fair thing to do.

Obama a Good Man

Barack Obama was raised in Hawaii. How bad can that be? As a result, I am sure, he is abled to easily assimilate into different cultures.

I was laughing because somewheres in the internet there is a web page that lists persons of internet born in Hawaii. Barack Obama is the first person list and my name actually appears on that list too.

For that reason, although, I am a values based voter, I could not help but hope that Barack Obama would represent a change in the Democratic party. That he would be the voice that would bring the party back to the center and provide an opening for those who are values based to have a reason for supporting this ticket.

But alas, he succumbed to the democratic machinery that pushes its candidates to the left. That forces them to compromise their spiritual and religious beliefs for fear of loosing the support of the left and the big pockets that include the entertainment community and the special interest groups.

The breakdown of Barack's campaign started at the Saddleback Church. Barack Obama had to convince the values based voter that he was not a rubber stamp of Rev. Jeremiah Wright's outrageous hatred against whites and values centered Christians. I believe he succeeded stating that he accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour and he was baptized with his family.

When asked the question, "Where does conception begin," Barack's answer, "we'll that's above my pay grade," was an answer he had thought about so as not to offend the left wing of his party. If Barack had the courage to be an agent of change, he would have said what he believes regardless of the consequences. That answer effectively ended Barack's influence amongst values based votes, including the Black Christian community.

No matter how it looks, the black Christian community are values based voters when it comes to the moral and religious issues. The black Christian community is another sleeping lion, who are beginning to wake up to the influence they have in their communities and political government.
You see many small businesses that are successful are by the black Christian community leaders. They are not easily influenced because they are believers in Jesus Christ.

I believe Barack Obama is a good man. Although his relatives are Muslim on his father's side, I do believe that Barack is a Christian. He just was in the wrong church and got the wrong slant on Christianity.

By not choosing Hillary as his running mate he essentially allowed those 18,000,000 voters to go with their choice of candidates and perhaps that may be the factor why he is going to lose this race. By chosing Joe Biden, who regardless of whether Biden wins or loses, he is just there to play the game. He cannot be as effective a campaigner as Hillary would have been - as she would have been the first woman to crack the glass ceiling as Michelle Obama so nobly stated in her address to the Democratic convention.

After the election is over, I wouldn't mind if Barack Obama takes a good look and evaluation of who he really is - and make some changes and comes back, stronger and more prepared to take on the highest office in this nation. Maybe as a republican? I would spend campaign money prudently and save a huge chunk for the next campaign. He should make sure his campaign managers do not spend his campaign money like water. Remember that these younger internet savvy managers may be the same ones who borrowed millions of dollars during the dot.com craze and spent every single penny - causing their financial fall in the late 1990's.

Also he needs to stop smoking! Not good for the health or his family's health.

MWA - Managing by Walking Around

I am a fan of President George W. Bush. I have the utmost respect for President Bush and Laura for having served in the White House in the most difficult eight years since WWII and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Without his common sense thinking and his faith in the Almighty, the USS America might have gone adrift or aground with all the turbulence and storms that this nation has experienced. BUT improvement can and should be made even at the highest level.

MBA ers and other management experts have now realized that effective management requires not only the book work, theories and the 10 steps to success; it requires knowing what is going on at the lowest denominator and that requires: Managing by Walking Around. If career federal and state employees would take the time to walk around and talk to the people outside the four walls of their offices, they might have an entirely different picture.

Managers today look at the public and say, "The economy is good. Why, they are earning more money and have more material things than ever before... Let them eat cake." They truly believe that everyone is enjoying wonderful health care, good retirement benefits and a good pay check like they are. While they enjoy their three weeks of paid vacation and 100% health, vision and dental care and are able to collect two checks at retirement and sometimes even three with military service, they don't realize that the vast majority of Americans are struggling to make ends meet. When the housing market began to crash, the common sense people outside of Washington felt it would due to the highly inflated prices for a little 3 bedroom 1 bathroom family home $400-$500 K depending on the city.

Most all seniors over the age of 55 knew that it wasn't going to last. These seniors who remember the great depression were not going to sell them homes of 1200 square feet and move into a mini-masion of 5000 square feet with triple taxes, triple energy costs and triple upkeep. They smartly sat on the sidelines and watched the frenzy as both realtors, lenders and unqualified buyers made deals to buy houses they couldn't afford, at over inflated prices with zero money down. Today, the seniors are okay! They retained their little homes. They retained their low property taxes and they retained their savings in the bank. The question is today? Who is government trying to save?

The bankers who were so greedy and the realtors and lenders who made huge unimaginable profits these last two-three years? Or are they going to save the little family who sold their home in the inner city and put all of their money into a new home that they could not afford and who might lost both the home and their once in life time equity? If the government managers would take time to get out of the office and walk around this old ship they would see the leaks and the repairs that need to be made at the lowest level.

May I say more about the greedy investment bankers. When I meet a young man or lady in their mid 30's driving a very expensive sports car, I ask what business are in you and the answer is often times, investment banking. They young people take your money (mutual funds) and trade and trade and trade making huge profits on each trade which nets them a huge commission. Of course it doesn't matter that the potential trades are risky, foreign or local, they make their commission and run. When the market drops, these people blame the President, the economy etc. But who is holding the bag? The 401K pension funds.

How many retirees were notified that their $100K pension fund was now worth $25K because of bad investments? While the government works to save Bear Stearns, Citibank, etc. who works to save that poor retiree who lost $75,000 for example, or all of his retirement fund because of the poor investments these banks made? Those in government need to get out of their offices and start walking around the USS America and see where the leaks are and where the repairs need to be made before the crew starts to see them as Captain Bligh and a young Mr. Christian rises up to challenge the authority without the experience without a track record and causes a turnover in leadership which may end up the blind leading the blind.

The USS America has been sailing since 1776 and I pray with the help of Almighty God and the good people of this nation - the commanders, officers and leaders will stop looking at the bottom line and start looking toward the finish line.
